This week the meet is in Lawrence, starting at 3:30pm. It’s a JV & Varsity meet so everyone will be swimming/diving. The girls will be released to attend first lunch. There will be two busses to the meet. The busses will depart SMS at 12:30. All team members must ride the team busses to the meet and back to SMS.
Friday, there is no school. There will be morning practice. See the details below.
This year’s team caps should arrive this week. Like the suits, they will be delivered to practice.
The team Shutterfly site has been set up for this year and images from the first meet have been posted. (Thanks, Jane!).
We can always use more photos. If you’re willing to take pictures at meets and other team events, please do so. While it’s great to have quality images of the competition, it’s also fun to have candid smartphone pictures of parents, the swimmers and divers cheering and supporting each other, the coaches, and even at team dinners.
Photos are available for any team member to view or download. They’ll be used on the website. And for the slideshow at the banquet. You can even order prints and photo-books direct from Shutterfly.

The season begins in earnest this week with our first meet versus Blue Valley NW, at SMS on Thursday. It’s a JV & Varsity meet, so everyone will be swimming. Coach Berg will let the swimmers know their events Wednesday at practice.
The Team Dinner will be held in the SMS Gym Lobby Wednesday night from 5:30-6:30pm. We’ll bring in pizza and salad. All Swim & Dive Team Members are encouraged to attend.

Coach Berg wanted to remind everyone about something that he touched on in our meeting last week: the only official team communication will be by email, the team website, and the team GroupMe. Twitter will be utilized to communicate meet results and other highlights, but may not be updated with relevant information on a regular basis.
