Schedule and Announcements for 4/29/19 – 5/5/19

Team Banquet Reminder

Make your reservations by May 6th for the team banquet, to be held May 9th at 6pm in the SM South cafeteria.

Booster Club members were sent an email and ticket(s) for their athlete’s free entrance to the banquet. If you joined the Booster Club and did not receive your email, please contact me at team@smsraiderswimming.com.

League Meets Are This Week

Tuesday

JV League Swim Meet at Lawrence Free State. (Note: JV League for diving is 5/6/19)

Wednesday

Team Dinner at the Kernens’, 9907 Linden (one block west of 99th and Roe).

Thursday

Sunflower League Diving Prelims @ Summit Trail Middle School.

Friday

Sunflower League Swimming Prelims @ Summit Trail Middle School.

Saturday

Sunflower League Swim & Dive Finals @ Summit Trail Middle School.

Practice Schedule

Swimmers

• Monday 4/29 – Green Group 2:55-4:15 (last practice of the season), Gold Group 3:00-5:30pm
• Tuesday 4/30 – JV League @ Lawrence Free State. Girls participating will be released from class at 1:15. Bus departs SMS at 1:30pm. Gold Group practice 3:00-5:30pm.
• Wednesday 5/1 – Gold Group 3:00-5:30pm. Team Dinner at the Kernens’
• Thursday 5/2 – Gold Group 3:00-5:30pm.
• Friday 5/3 – Sunflower League Swimming Prelims at Summit Trail Middle School. Participating swimmers should meet at SM South at 2:15pm (there’s no school that day). Team bus will depart for the meet at 2:30pm. Meet starts at 5pm. There will be an admission fee.
• Saturday 5/4 – Sunflower League Swim & Dive Finals Diving is the first event starting at 10:00am. Swim warm-up will follow diving. Swim competition will start around 11:30am. There will be an admission fee.

Divers

• Monday 4/29 – 3:00-5:00pm
• Tuesday 4/30 – 3:00-5:00pm
• Wednesday 5/1 – 3:00-5:00pm. Team Dinner at the Kernens’ after Gold Group practice.
• Thursday 5/2 – Sunflower League Dive Prelims @ Summit Trail Middle School. Competition begins at 6pm. Emma will notify divers of departure schedule.
• Friday 5/3 – TBD
• Saturday 5/4 – Sunflower League Swim & Dive Finals Diving is the first event starting at 10:00am. Swim warm-up will follow diving. Swim competition will start around 11:30am. There will be an admission fee.

Team Banquet

This Week’s Highlights

It’s hard to believe, but this is the (very busy) last week of the regular season. Highlights for the week:

Tuesday

Team Dinner hosted by the Mayabbs’ — celebrate the beautiful weather with a team dinner at Roe Park following Gold Group Practice.

Wednesday

JV/Varsity dual meet at SM East. This is the final regular season meet of the year.

Friday

Fundraiser day at Johnny’s at 95th & Antioch. Bring your friends and family. Notify your server that you’re there for SM South Swim & Dive, or download and print out this flyer.

Saturday

SM South Dive Invitational, meet starts at 9am.
