SMSD Suspends School Through End of Year
Spring Semester 2020 Has Been Cancelled
[updated 3/17/2020 6:00pm]In order to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Kansas, on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly ordered all public schools in Kansas to remain closed through the end of the school year.
For those who have ordered suits and caps, or paid Booster Club fees, we will email soon regarding refunds. Please be patient as we are working with various vendors to stop/cancel orders.
[updated 3/17/2020 10:00am]At the direction of the Johnson County Department of Health and the Environment, all schools, and all activities, athletics, and extracurricular activities in the Shawnee Mission School District will be closed through April 5th. Schools are being closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19. No one may enter SMSD buildings, school grounds, or facilities like the Shawnee Mission District Aquatic Center. This restriction also applies to all rentals that use SMSD facilities.
