Way to go BOYS!

Weekly Highlights & Notes

No Meets – Start of Winter Moratorium

Per KSHSAA, there will be no formal practice or competitions from December 23rd through January 3rd. Coach Berg will be providing daily workouts for the boys via GroupText, but they are optional if you can find pool time. Practice will resume on January 4th.

The boys will be allowed to swim at the SMSDAC during open swim hours. They will be considered a guest and will have to follow JCPRD guidelines, including any applicable fees. Captains will be updating the GroupText with days, times, and locations of “informal” practices.

SMS Swim & Dive Schedule Date Changes

The State Meet has been updated to an all-day meet on February 19th.

The schedule has been updated. Like with everything this year, this can change at a moment’s notice. If in doubt, make sure to check the Sunflower League Calendar.

In addition, KSHSAA also released the latest schedule and guidelines for the state meet.

Items of note …

  • Only 24 participants for each event, including diving.
  • Swimming will be a timed final.
  • Swimmers/Relays must still meet the state qualifying/consideration standards.
