COVID Procedures

  • All athletes are required to fill out a COVID questionnaire daily before they come to practice. Athletes should fill out a COVID questionnaire between 10 am and 12 pm. COVID questionnaire can be found on the Swim Website Menubar under COVID Questionnaire.
  • Athletes must have a mask/face covering on at all times. They will need to bring a zip-lock bag and before they enter the pool remove their mask and place it in the baggie and secure it. Once they exit the pool, they will need to put the mask back on.
  • If they are not feeling well, they MUST stay home and contact one of the coaches. Athletes that stay home may not return to practice or competition until they have been cleared by the SMS school nurse.
  • There will be no locker rooms. Athletes coming from home should come to practice dressed in their swimsuit. Athletes coming from school will change in bathrooms. Gym bags will be stowed in the swim area.
  • Athletes will be split into groups and groups will spread out around the pool based on their lanes. You are not allowed to change lanes unless specified by a Coach. While on deck, every athlete and coach will wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
  • Athletes may not carpool with non-family. If the athlete is driving, make sure to fill out Transportation Form.
  • No communal food or drink. No team meals, Saturday donuts, or team lunches. Do not share water bottles.

2021 Boys State Swim & Dive T-Shirts Orders Due By February 16th @ Noon

PLEASE NOTE: There are two different orders for Boys State Swim & Dive Apparel.

2021 SMS Boys State Swim & Dive T-Shirts

The Booster Club ordered these shirts in advance so they could be printed and delivered before the State Meet. (Your son has already let Coach Berg know their size.) Unfortunately, due to the tight timeline, there will not be additional shirts available for purchase.

These shirts will be worn by the boys on Friday at the State Meet.

With that being said, the Booster Club does not have the funds available to cover the cost of all of the shirts.

Therefore we are asking you to pay “after the fact” for your son’s shirt. The cost is $16.56 (which includes the convenience fee).

2021 Kansas Boys State Swim & Dive Apparel

Due to COVID concerns, there will be NO Kansas State Swim Apparel sold at the meet.

However, they are allowing schools to “pre-order” apparel and it will be “delivered” to them on the day of the meet. You are able to purchase additional t-shirts for yourself or other family members with this order.

This means the Boosters we will need to place and pay for one order with KSHAA and that order is due on February 16th.

Here are the costs (these do not include the convenience fee):

  • Short-Sleeve T-Shirt (S – XL): $19
  • Long-Sleeve T-Shirt (S – XL): $26
  • Sweatshirts (S – XL): $34
  • Beach Towel (Maroon or Royal): $29

How To Reimburse the Boosters & Pay For State Swim & Dive Apparel

  1. –> Click HERE to go to the SMS Boys Team Store.
  2. Click “Select Options” under the 2021 Boys State T-Shirt.
  3. Pick a Shirt Size (it won’t matter because the shirts have already been ordered).
  4. Click “Add to Cart”.
  5. If you want Kansas Boys State Swim & Dive Apparel, scroll down and choose your item by clicking “Select Options” underneath the item.
  6. Choose size or color and add to cart.
  7. When you have finished adding all items to the cart (both the 2021 Boys State T-Shirt in order to reimburse the booster club and any Kansas State Apparel), click “View Cart”. It should be on the upper right-hand side.
  8. Review your cart and make any necessary changes and view your final total.
  9. Click “Proceed to Checkout”
  10. Fill out the checkout form, enter your credit card information, and click “Place Order”.

All orders and payment must be made by noon on February 16th to ensure your kiddo gets their merchandise. Thank you for supporting your kiddo!

This has been such an awesome season and the future is so bright for South Swim & Dive. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Kelly Snyder at 913-579-9511.
